Platinum Pt
Platinum was discovered in 1557 by Julius C Scaliger in gold and silver mines between Panama and Mexico. Julius states "It could not be affected by our furnaces." Platinum is not affected by most common acids and doesn't combine with most elements, even under heat. Platinum can react with DNA and cancer cells making an effective cancer drug.
