The word Zinc originates from the German word "zin", which mean tin. Zinc is pronounced Zink with a "K". Zinc's atomic number is 30. It was given because Zinc has 30 protons and 30 electrons. Zinc has 35 neutrons. 65.39 is Zinc's atomic mass. Zinc's element symbol is Zn. Zinc is one of the elements that help keep you strong and healthy. Without Zinc your immune system wouldn't be strong.
Zinc Uses:
Not only is Zinc used to keep your body strong and healthy, it also is used for many other things. One thing that Zinc is used for is alloys. Alloys are a metal that is combined with two or more metallic elements. Some alloys that zinc helps make up is Bronze, Nickel Silver and Solder.
